Metaphysics is unlocked with Unobtainium in the Science tab.
Things you can buy with Metaphysics (using Paragon) carry over after resets, and make certain things easier in the game. The technology "Metaphysics" itself does not carry over and must be unlocked again if you want to buy more upgrades.
Metaphysics' price ratio reduction only applies on Bonfire tab.
