The Chronosphere is an advanced building that's unlocked by Chronophysics. Its primary purpose is to let you carry over resources to your next run.

Chronospheres carry over resources to your next run based on how much you have before reset. How much gets carried over depends on how many Chronospheres you have.
For craftable and non-craftable resources, it is possible to carry over more resources than you actually have, provided you have a sufficient amount of Chronospheres. For non-craftable resources you'll need 67 Chronospheres to accomplish this (100.5% carried over).
Black Liquid Sorrow (BLS) is always carried over, whether you have any Chronophysics upgrades or not.
Storage is irrelevant at first since you can store resources beyond your storage limits. Focus on things that will get you production bonuses, like magnetos or getting Solar Revolution.
You're going to run out of science first, so make sure you spend as much on workshop as on technologies.... Don't just burn thru the whole Science tree ASAP.
This is a nice little table that shows how many manuscripts, compendia, blueprints, time crystals, and relics you need to carry over if you want to research all technologies and buy all the workshop upgrades.
Resouce | Technologies | Upgrades | Both |
---|---|---|---|

To calculate the amount of manuscripts, compendia or blueprints you need pre-reset to carry over the amounts mentioned in this table, divide the number from the table above by 1.5, then divide by the number of Chronospheres you have, then square that number (multiply it by itself).
Chronospheres occasionally create Temporal Paradoxes, which create void. Due to how the cooldown between paradoxes work, you should never start with only 1 Chronosphere if you want to get serious about void production (which might take a couple of runs), you want to build lots of them before the season changes and your first paradox gets triggered.
